This villa, built in the 1800s, is a fine example of Hydra’s unique and traditional architecture, with expansive views from the large shaded veranda of the picturesque houses on the surrounding hillsides.

The old villa was originally built for a wealthy sea captain, in early 2000 it was extensively restored and it is now one of the most comfortable homes on the island. The interior has contemporary functionality with all modern amenities but maintains the island’s traditional building style, including marble floors embellished with engravings on the ground floor and veranda and wooden floors on the first floor and high, beamed wooden ceilings. It is tastefully decorated throughout with original antique furniture and artwork. The kitchen provides all modern facilities. The villa is fully air-conditioned, has sat TV, Hi-fi.

It is located at the edge of Hydra town, a mere 300 metres from the sea front within easy walking distance of all town facilities reached by a gentle cobblestone road without steep steps.
